The story behind ThaiWayGo

Hello, I’m Gautier.

I’m 31, I come from France, and today Thailand is home. ThaiWayGo grew out of the journeys, missed connections and small discoveries I collected while travelling across the country.

Why I built the site

A simple idea, born between two connections.

I have travelled Thailand in every direction: night trains heading north, ferries to the islands, shared vans, long bus rides and countless stations where a map pin is more useful than a street name.

Along the way, I kept running into the same problem: finding a destination was easy; understanding the real journey there was not. Which station? Which pier? Is the fastest option truly the simplest once every transfer is included?

I created ThaiWayGo to put those practical answers in one calm, clear place. Not to sell a dream trip, but to help you understand the road before you take it.

What guides the work

Useful information, with a human point of view.

  1. 01

    Concrete

Terminals, transfers, realistic durations and the details that matter when your bag is already packed.

  2. 02

    Honest

Times and prices are estimates. When information may change, the site says so clearly.

  3. 03

    Independent-minded

Every page is written to help you choose, not to push the most expensive option.

A small site, built with care

ThaiWayGo does not operate transport and does not sell tickets. It is an independent route guide, shaped by first-hand experience and checked against current public and operator information.

Some booking links are affiliate links. If you use one, ThaiWayGo may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. It helps keep the site growing.
