First identify your destination. Khao Sok village and park headquarters sit in Khlong Sok near most jungle lodges. Cheow Lan Lake/Ratchaprapha Dam pier is a separate road destination farther east. A standard ticket labelled “Khao Sok” usually means the village area, not the lake pier.

Krabi Town, Krabi Bus Terminal, Krabi Airport and Ao Nang are different starting points. A van collecting across Ao Nang may drive into Krabi to consolidate passengers before heading north, so a four-hour estimate can become five or six hours. Be ready at the start of the pickup window.
